Letter from the club leader, Carlyn Saltman:

carlyn-saltman-greenfield-speaker-sisterhood-womenI fell in love with the Speaker Sisterhood as soon as founder Angela Lussier described it during the improv workshop, “Authentic Presentations Through Laughter.”  I joined a Northampton club right away and have been inspired ever since by the wholehearted, fun, and benefits-packed approach. When Angela asked me if I would launch a club for my sisters in Greenfield, I was all in!

The Speaker Sisterhood gives me the opportunity to work, play, and laugh with more women than I ever could in my private coaching practice. I love sharing what I’ve learned about the fear that too often holds us back and how, with practice in a supportive group, we really can change the way we relate to the fear – starting today.

What would you do with less fear, more confidence, and more YOU?

Come surprise yourself!

Communication & Career Coach

I’ve had my dream job for ten years:  coaching leaders who yearn to boost their communication skills and career prospects informed by spiritual psychology. The only thing that’s lured me away was a two-year stint as a career coach to master’s students from all over the world at SIT Graduate Institute in Brattleboro, Vermont. I live in Turners Falls, MA, with my partner of 18 years. Other loves include group improv, dancing, long walks (especially in unusual places), yoga, and Moth-style storytelling.

I indulged my love of travel during my first career as an independent filmmaker-interviewer under the name Your Story Matters. My passion for intercultural filmmaking drew me to collaborate on projects in some 15 communities in sub-Saharan Africa. Along the way, I received honors from the Society for Visual Anthropology and Outstanding Social Documentary at the Boston Film/Video Festival. Witnessing my own verbal and nonverbal skills and quirks on video sparked life-changing self-awareness that led to the development of my coaching system Video Mirror Feedback®. The insightful use of video recording and playback is now the cornerstone of my work with leaders who want to know exactly what they communicate and make it more congruent with their purpose and values both one-on-one and with audiences.
