Sandra Costello is a photographer and Chief Hugger at Sandra Costello Photography. She has been a member of the Northampton Club with Angela Lussier since it launched last September. We checked in with her and here’s what she had to say after being a member of the Speaker Sisterhood for the past 8 months.
Why did you join the Speaker Sisterhood?
I had this incredible urgency to cultivate a voice for myself and share it with as many people as possible. I want to inspire, empower, and energize others. I want other women in particular to do the thing they thought they couldn’t do and I hope to be a part of that transformation.
What do you love about it?
I love the connection and the thrill of moving others to action and doing good in their life and the world.
How has becoming a member helped you?
Oh gosh, I have been changed in so many ways. I am more energized, confident, daring, and engaged in my everyday life. I have found new ways to use my words, my voice, and my body to deliver powerful messages.
Have you experienced any surprises or unexpected benefits since becoming a member?
The incredible community of women I have met through the Speaker Sisterhood has been wonderful. They totally lift me up and have my back. Also, I have completely fallen in love with story telling. I’ve loved stories since I was a child, but through the Sisterhood I have a new appreciation for how personal stories create better connection and engagement. It’s awesome.
