About the Location:

Check out the Nine Mountain Retreat Center to learn more about the location at 9 Mountain Street, Plainfield, MA. Our group will have exclusive use of Nine Mountain. This means that the only people on site are all of us and Nine Mountain’s staff.

Lodging Information:

This is essentially a big house with bedrooms and beds/bunk beds upstairs. We will all be sharing rooms and some may even say it’s a big slumber party! There are three private guest rooms with queen-sized beds and we can work with you to reserve one if that is needed. The “dorm rooms” have five or six single beds in addition to the bunk beds. Shared washrooms on every floor are stocked with towels, natural cleansing products and recyclable toweling. Their outdoor hot tub fits 6-8 for a soak under the stars. View photos of the space here.

Meals:

Nine Mountain serves delicious, seasonal and locally-sourced food, buffet/family style. They strive to source all of their food from local and/or organic sources. Their chefs’ areas of culinary expertise range from Moroccan to Indian, raw to macrobiotic. We will be serving an omnivore menu for dinner Thursday, three meals each day Friday and Saturday, brunch on Sunday and snacks in between. Meals are prepared by skilled cooks with love.

Other Amenities:

Wifi is available throughout the house. Note that when it comes to cell phone reception, guests with Verizon and ATT report normal coverage, and guests with T-Mobile have trouble or no reception at all.

There is an assortment of board games and puzzles, bats, balls, frisbees, toy swords, musical instruments, and an extensive library.

The local swimming/paddling spot, Plainfield Pond, is 10 minutes away.

Who is eligible to go?
Anyone who identifies as a woman over 18 years old. Speaker Sisterhood members and club leaders get a special discounted rate. You do not need to be a member to apply.

What if I’m not currently in a romantic relationship / my romantic relationship doesn’t fall under the category of monogamy?

That’s okay! We’re going to be talking about all kinds of relationships and at various stages and phases. You don’t need to have one “type” of relationship to get something out of this.
Will there be downtime / unstructured time to rest, process or spend time with others?

Yes! We are being very intentional about building in non-program time so you can relax, socialize, sleep, wander, or do whatever feels good to you.

Can I do a payment plan?

Yes, payment plans are available and vary depending on whether or not you are a Speaker Sisterhood club member or leader. Payments are spread out over three months and start when you enroll.

How do I sign up?

Fill out the application form during the application window of February 19th-March 5th and we will reach out to you for a conversation and to determine if it’s a good fit for you.

Is my payment refundable?

We will offer a 50% refund before May 10, 2020 and a 25% refund before May 30, 2020. No refunds will be offered after that date.

Can I get on the waiting list if it’s sold out already?

Yes, fill out the application form and we will get in touch with you to determine if this is a good fit for you. If that is the case, we will add you to the waiting list.

Is there a discount for Speaker Sisterhood members and club leaders?

Yes, a $100 discount.

Is the retreat being held outside and are we sleeping in the woods?

No, it is being held in a big beautiful retreat center that is located in a wooded area. We will be sleeping in beds, snug as a bug in a rug.
