Leslie Karen Hammond is a speaker, author, and Confident Speaking Expert. Her new book, Keep It Real: Why We’re Afraid to Speak Up and What to do About it, is the subject of this week’s podcast. I loved this book and Leslie had so many surprising answers when I asked her about specific tips and takeaways in the book. In this episode, she tell us what to say when someone asks you, “Who do you think you are?”, how to figure out why you don’t speak up and what to do about it, how to find a supportive network of people to help you find confidence in your voice and message, and learn why Leslie feels speaking is a “spiritual experience.”
